New Updates Coming for Email Tracking

The current process for tracking email is to poll the inbox (via POP3) of any email account setup in ampEducator to look for emails to match with Prospects or Students. What this means is that all user email regardless of the content is being stored in ampEducator.
As of June 1, 2019 - we will be discontinuing the practice of collecting or tracking all user emails and only including the Prospect or Student related emails. There will still be an ampEducator Home > Email Inbox and options to CC, BCC and forward emails to other staff members.
Why are we doing this? There are 2 main reasons to benefit users:
  1. Privacy. Personal or other sensitive business email content should not be stored in or available to view in ampEducator that is not related to Prospects or Students.
  2. Storage. There is a huge amount of email data being stored that is not related to Prospects or Students in ampEducator.
What else is changing?
As of Jan 1, 2020 – the POP3 / SMTP option will be deprecated and replaced with new integrated (send / receive) support for Google Gmail, Microsoft Outlook and Exchange users.
