More UI Updates

  • Live Date January 26th 2015
  • New Toolbar for Tables
  • Better support for Tablets & Phones
New Toolbar for Tables
To make working with tables easier we've added a fixed toolbar at the top of every table. On the right hand side the toolbar contains the tools to work with the table including navigation, search, columns, export and bookmarks. On the left hand side you will find actions associated with the table like adding and deleting. The toolbar is fixed so that it's always visible when you scroll the table allowing you to quickly make selections and work with them.

Seen above - the new toolbar as seen in the Prospects section.
Better Support for Tables & Phones
We're currently working to make the user interface usable in a variety of sizes which include phone, tablet and desktop. While we're not there yet this update has made some major progress forward allowing the interface to adjust with the screen size. We'll continue to work on the design and are happy to receive any feedback you might have especially on smaller devices.

Two Factor Authentication for Added Security

What is two factor authentication and how does it work?
Two factor authentication allows you to add an extra layer of security to your ampEducator account. When enabled, in addition to entering your regular username and password, you are required to enter a 6 digit validation code. The validation code is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone and it's different every time you login. With 2 factor authentication enabled the chances of unauthorized access to your account are reduced since an attacker would required your username, password as well as access to your smartphone.
How do I setup two factor authentication on my account?
To setup 2 factor authentication follow these steps.
  1. Download the free Google Authenticator app for your smartphone (Android or iOS)
  2. Under 'My Account' click on the '2 Factor Authentication' tab.
  3. Click on 'Enable'. This will generate a new Secret Key and QR Barcode.
  4. Open the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone and either scan the barcode or manually enter the secret key.
  5. After successfully entering the key you will be presented with a 6 digit code. Enter this code into the validation box.
  6. Click Save.
